I am currently reading "The Book of Lost Things" by John Connolly. I just randomly picked it up at Barnes and Noble the other day because the cover appealed to me. It is a terrifyingly fantastic book. A boy enters into a fantasy world that revolves around fairy tales. Sounds juvenile, but I can promise that it's not. I have never read anything by John Connolly but I fully intend to stock up on all of his books. I have heard that this book might be made into a movie - I cannot wait!!! Check it out at www.thebookoflostthings.com!
I also randomly picked up some Pirate's Booty at Walgreens the other day. It is such a good snack and it says that it's healthy for you. Doubt it but it tastes great! www.piratesbooty.com!
I bought these little snack packs of grapes and apples at WalMart. They are good. A fabulous take it with you and go snack.
I bought Imogene Heap's new cd. Ehh. Not that great. I may need to listen to it more. But, right now sounds exactly the same as all of her other music.
I am digging on the music by Stars of Track and Field. Download their song Racing Lights. You won't be sorry.
And finally, I love my family (this includes Curt, my dogs, my parents, my brothers, my grandma, etc.) We may fight and we may torture each other, but I wouldn't trade their love or sense of humor or ability to understand me for the world.

You're on the mike, what's your beef?
My car was hit by a giant Penske truck while I was parked at an AWF match. I was not in the car, I was inside enjoying some good redneck fun. When I walked outside, the Penske truck was sitting up on top of my hood. Thank God for Curt because I was really, really angry. The people who hit me were very standoffish and I was ready to be combative. Here is where things get weird. The owner of AWF was fantastic. She waited with us until the police arrived. The policeman was a complete jerk and told the man that hit me that it was not his fault, blah blah blah and then apologized to the man for having to deal with me. To make a long story short, the policeman was friends with the man who hit me and did not fault him but instead faulted me for parking where I parked. It was 8:30 at night on a Saturday, I was parked outside of an event. My car is going to be fixed. Penske is paying for it. The idiot who hit me got off without any consequence (or did he? Penske is suing him!!) The people who own the AWF arena are the nicest, friendliest, most courteous people. They called us to make sure that we were okay and they gave us 4 free tickets to the next AWF match. I love them. I want Curty to become a wrestler and I will be his WO-MAN.
I digress.
I love me some trash tv. Making over America is hilarious! Fridays at 10p on TLC. True Blood only has 2 episodes left. Go Jason Stackhouse and the Eric sex scenes are smoking.
I am going to Bridge Street in Huntsville this weekend for some shopping. Anthropologie, Papaya and Ulta Beauty!! Not to mention the Melting Pot. (bridgestreethuntsville.com)
I am slightly obsessed with the story about the "Muck Monster." WTF is it??? (http://news.aol.com/article/muck-monster-baffles-west-palm-beach/635516?icid=mainhp-laptopdl1link5http%3A%2F%2Fnews.aol.com%2Farticle%2Fmuck-monster-baffles-west-palm-beach%2F635516)
This website makes me laugh really hard: www.beedogs.com
I will have more info pouring out of my manic mind later.
Loves and kisses.

Long time, no see
So, I seem to really love some food. It is definitely one of my favorite things. I have discovered this new cereal and it makes my toes curl. Honey Bunches of Oats with Peaches. Holy Moly. It is so good. The entire box is gone after 3 days. I have got to get some more. It really is the best cereal I have ever eaten in my entire life. A bowl of that with some skim milk is like heaven.
Speaking of heaven - I bought some Mickey's freeze dried apples at WalMart. I was excited because if Mickey Mouse endorses it, it must be fantastic. And I was not disapointed. They were fantastic and only 30 calories per bag. A great healthy snack.
I Love You Man is a fabulous movie that made me laugh out loud. It is so fantastic. I love Paul Rudd but mostly I love Jason Segal. Jason is great in Freaks and Geeks and even better in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, not to mention he has a giant penis for all to see.
Ursa Major, Third Eye Blind's new cd is really good. It is reminiscent of Out of the Vein. You have to listen to it a few times to get in the groove, but it's definitely worth it!
I am still digging on some True Blood. Such a fantastic show!
What music am I feeling? Glad you asked!!
-Dream Weaver by Gary Wright (bet you forgot about this one!!)
- Someone else's baby by Will Hoge (this song still makes my stomach do flip flops. I miss you Will!! You Indian Make out Giver.)
- Jump by Flo Rida (everything he touches turns to GOLD)
- Trinity by Paper Tongues (you want to shake it.)
- Hey Soul Sister by Train (brand new. Pat Monahan is so awesome)
- Run this town by Jay Z (99 problems but a bitch ain't one.)
- Fragile by Maria Mena (old school but it still makes it point.)
-What it takes by Aerosmith (old and awesome.)

Camping Out
This past weekend I went on an adventure. Adventure is probably a mild way to put but it will serve it's purpose here. So, for whatever reason I agreed to go to the woods and to sleep in a tent. I went with my brother and Jordan. Curt was too smart to go with us. Fake swore that he knew exactly where we were going. As we dipped deeper and deeper into the woods, and almost sent my SUV careening down a cliff (if I exaggerate, it sounds better-it was just a really steep embankment and it would have been impossible to retrieve), he finally admitted that he had no idea where we were going. We located a wooden carving that somewhat resembled a map and decided on a camp spot next to a pond.
We arrived at this camp site and it was rustic to say the least. An outhouse straight from a horror movie with a poop filled toilet and no running water. But there was a pond and a fire pit. Upon further inspection, we found plastic bags filled with poop. I guess others were intimidated by the outhouse as well. My brother, who was most definitely not a boyscout, made an excellent fire. Jordan assembled our mini grill while he and I put together my fabulous Eddie Bauer tent. When were settled, my brother grilled steak and chicken and I cooked onions and peppers on the camp fire. The food was good, if not a little charcoal flavored. I reminded everyone that there were starving children in Africa and that we should be thankful for our food. After dinner, we made yummy smores.
Nightfall came and the two lovebirds were jumpier then a whore in church. I had to be the voice of reason which is really scary. Fake made the comment that he would have felt safer if Curt were there. I had to agree. Curt is always my voice of reason, reminding me that my imagination is the devil. After talking around the campfire, we decided that it was bed time. Jordan and I pumped up the air mattress and then we brushed our teeth with bottled water.
Eventually we all drifted off to sleep. Each of us, unbeknown st to the others would wake up throughout the evening straining our ears to hear the mysterious sounds outside of the tent. At 4:30, we were all awake simultaneously, jolted up by the sound of someone or something opening the trash bag outside. We made Fake stand up and look around but he couldn't see anything. When he sat back down, we recounted what noises we had heard throughout the evening. I said that I had heard dirt bikes cruising around our site. Fake heard rustling and walking. Jordan heard cackling. Convinced that the Blair Witch Project was outside, we pushed Fake through the tent opening. The tent walls began to move and Jordan and I began to scream. Just the wind, folks. But now I was jumpier than a whore in church. So at 4:30a, we were WIDE awake and scared to stay in tent. We built a fire and kept vigil until day break.
At day break, BoyScout Fake made pancakes on the grill. We grilled peaches and honey and then made honey toast. Fed and relieved to see the sun, I went back to bed. They went fishing. We made the trek out of the wilderness and I spent the rest of the day thanking God for running water, toilets and an overactive imagination that can be quelled by Curt's calming words. Saturday was my day of rest. And my day to eat Amigo's.
Sunday, we went to the World's Largest Outdoor Movie Theater in Trenton. It is so nice! We took FeFe and Jordan's cat, Mathilda. When we paid for the tickets, they gave us doggie treats. You can only keep your animals in the car or in the designated dog spot. Although FeFe and Mathilda sat in our laps the entire movie. They have really nice bathrooms - clean and not stinky. They also have a great concession stand. We had cheeseburgers, chili cheese fries, candy and funnel cakes. You are not supposed to bring in any outside food, but we packed a cooler with drinks. We set up chairs and watched the double feature of G-Force (cute, but ehhh) and The Proposal (funniest movie I have seen in awhile.) Since the movie cannot start until it is dark, G-Force did not start until 9:45. We did not get home until after 2a. But it was totally worth it! I would go back!

Friday I'm in Love
I have had the flu or some kind of ick bug all week. I have had a lot of time to sit in my bed and be a lazy bum. And to work on the new things that I so adore.
1. Ritz crackers. For days they were all that I could taste. And I love them.
2. I have reaffirmed my love for Patty Griffin. Her voice is so wonderful. My favorite PG songs are as follows...
-You've Got Growing up to Do by Joshua Rouse and Patty Griffin (but the best thing i can give to you, is for me to go, leave you alone, you've got growing up to do.)
-When It Don't Come Easy by PG (if you break down, i'll drive out and find you. if you forget my love, i'll try to remind you. stay by you when it don't come easy.)
-Rain by PG (sometimes the hurt is so deep you think that you're gonna drown. sometimes all i can do is weep with all this rain falling down.)
-Time Will Do the Talking by PG (there are those who like to look and those who ain't afraid to touch.)
-Long Ride Home by PG (i've had some time to think about it and watch the sun sink like a stone. i've had some time to think about you on the long ride home.)
3. Looklet.com -Paperdolls for grownups. And it's all couture. So, I can play dressup on a super skinny model with really expensive clothes that I can never afford. Wait, why do I like this website? Because it's fun.
4. The Wackness was a really good movie. Josh Peck portrayed an emotionally retarded drug dealer and it really made me forget that he was ever on Drake and Josh. Ben Kingsley is great as well as a wacked out psychiatrist. And no words for Oliva Thirlby. She's fantastic, loved her since Juno.
5. Wipeout - Curt and I both agree that this show is hilarious. If you are having a bad day or you just need something to make you laugh, this show is it! Watching people of all shapes and sizes and all degrees of weirdness busting their butts into giant pits of mud or foam - PRICELESS!!!! There was a psychologist on there that said he made up a language to better communicate with his patients. Because English isn't effective enough. This guy spent the rest of the show yelling out in jibberish. So funny!!
6. I am still really digging on Florence & The Machine. If you haven't checked her out, you are missing out!!
7. I made up a word, or at least I think I did. BUDGETISTA. That is my new name for the girl who still wants to be fashionable and fun but is B.R.O.K.E.

Loves of my life...
These are a few of my favorite things...
-Fruit - blueberries that I picked, pears, peaches and cold watermelon. Summer fruit is one of life's little pleasures.
- My new Clarks sandals that cost less that $30. They are comfortable and cute.
-AWF Wrestling (awfwow.com) is the most amazing thing that I have ever witnessed!! The next match is on August 1st and I think everyone should go. Tables, ladders, chairs, OH MY.
- Ghost Adventures is the scariest show on tv. And the host is pretty douchey (he wears black jeans) but I still have a little crush on him.
-Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I cannot wait!!!!!
-Florence & The Machine is my new favorite band. I love them.
-I am going to try to submit some greeting card ideas to Blue Mountain. They pay $300 per accepted submission.
- I have decided that I want to start collecting old photographs. Basically anything from the 30's to the 70's. I have an awesome collection started. I am going to make things out of them.
-Diet Coke. It is my crack.
-Awfulplasticsurgery.com - enough said.
And now on to my tangents...
-Steve McNair was an awesome football player and was equally charitable. His mistakes do not take away from all of the good things that he did. And rehashing his indiscretions is disrespectful to his family. So, RIP Steve-o.
-So between watching the History Channel and some weird articles that I have read online, I am absolutely convinced that bull sharks can swim up the Mississippi river and get into the Tennessee river. They are the only shark that can basically reboot their system and can live very happily in fresh water. So, just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water...
-Finally, I am overqualified to be your nanny. You know it, I know it. But I am fun and childlike so freaking hire me.

Ode to MJ
I was so saddened by the death of Michael Jackson. He was such an iconic addition to music and one of my all time favorites. I can credit my early love of music to him. I used to refer to him as Jichael Mackson. I made up a dance to Man in the Mirror; I tried to learn all the moves to Beat It; I got into big trouble for changing the words from Dirty Diana to Dirty Dushaun and serenading a kid on the playground. I feel very sad that such a talented man met such an unhappy fate. I will most definitely pray for his family.
Now on with some of my most favorite things...
Now on with some of my most favorite things...
- Hungry Howie's Pizza: If you haven't eaten it, you are missing out. It is amazing. It's so good and it's cheap - two of my favorite things ever!! Flavored crusts, yummy cinnamon bread. Fat people delight! hungryhowies.com
- The Historian: I just finished this book and it's great. If you hate the vampire trend, do not read it. But, if you love bloodsuckers and historical fiction, read it! Vlad the Impaler dominates the pages. It scared me so much that I had to sleep with the lights on.
- Harper's Island: Maybe the dumbest show on television but also a guilty pleasure. People are decapitated and blown up. And there are some really cheesy one liners. However, it is dramatic and makes me worry about what will happen next week. CBS on Saturdays at 9p.
- TrueBlood: Blood, gratuitous sex scenes, vamps and shapeshifters. Southern drama at it's best. Curt and I looove it. HBO on Sundays at 9p.
- FMYLIFE.com: You think your life sucks, I can promise you someone has had it much, much worse.
My current playlist:
- Blood Bank by Bon Iver: That secret that we know that we don't know how to tell. I'm in love with your honor, I'm in love with your cheeks. What's that noise up the stairs babe? Is that Christmas morning creaks?
- Hospital Beds by Florence and the Machine: Put out the fire boys, don't stop. Bring your buckets by the dozen, bring your nieces and your cousins.
- Beggin' by Madcon: A broken man but I don't know - won't even stand the devil's chance to win my soul.
- Eet by Regina Spektor: It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song. You can't believe it, you were always singing along. It was so easy and the words so sweet. You can't remember - you try to feel the beat.
- Sunrise by Ryan Bingham: I'm taking my chances, I'm taking my sins. Throwing em down the hill and watch come around again.
- Candle by The White Tie Affair: I'm so tired of being sick and tired.
